Website Clarity

About Website Clarity.

One person, based in Hampshire, working with businesses across the UK. Project analyst by training, builder by habit.

How this started

I spent years as a project analyst in financial services: scoping work, keeping it on track, making sense of data and explaining it to people who didn't have time for jargon. Alongside that I built and ran online businesses of my own. Building the websites was never the hard part. Being found was. I paid for advertising because I didn't know what else to do, and the traffic stopped the moment the spending did.

So I took one local business website and treated it as a project. Built from the ground up to be read by Google and by AI search, researched around what its customers actually ask, measured from the first day, adjusted as the data came in. Within six weeks the enquiries started, and it now brings in around five a week with no advertising. That's the method, and it's what I do for other businesses now.

How I work

  • Every job has a written scope, a fixed price and a finish date, agreed before anything starts.
  • Nothing extra happens until you've said yes to it and the cost.
  • I keep to a small number of clients at a time.
  • Access is by collaborator invite, removed when the job ends. I never ask for passwords, and anything that needs your card or ID is done on a call with you typing.
  • When we're done, everything belongs to you: the work, the accounts, the logins, and a short note on what was done.
  • I don't run adverts, manage social media, or propose work your platform can't support.
  • Email and WhatsApp, replies within a working day. No sales calls, no newsletters.

What I think

Most small businesses don't need to spend money on advertising. They need to find out what their website is actually doing, fix what's stopping people getting through, and make sure it can be found on its own. Then, if they still want to advertise, they'll be sending paid traffic to a site that converts it.

You shouldn't need to understand Search Console or structured data to run your business. That's my job. Mine is to tell you what's happening in plain English, what it means, and what I'd do next if it were my own business. Then you decide.
