The free website check
Five things about your website that you cannot look up in thirty seconds. It takes a few seconds, needs no email address, and nothing is stored.
Just the address is fine — no https, no www needed.
Each one is something a business owner genuinely cannot see from their own website, and each one is common enough to be worth checking. Measured against fifty-one real UK small business websites, about five in six had at least one of these to fix.
It is a starting point, not a verdict. It looks at your homepage and your domain from the outside — it cannot see your Google listing, your rankings or your enquiries.
- Will your emails arrive?WaitingWhether anything tells Gmail and Outlook to trust email from your address.
- Does your site tell Google what your business is?WaitingWhether your pages state who you are and where, in a form a machine can read.
- Does your site say what anything costs?WaitingThe question customers search before they search for anyone by name.
- How much of your site can Google actually read?WaitingDesign and photos make a page look full. A search engine only counts the words.
- Can a customer contact you in one tap?WaitingA number to press, WhatsApp, an email link or a form — on the homepage itself.
What these would take to put right
Every price is fixed and agreed in writing before anything starts. Nothing is monthly, and if I think something can wait, I will say so rather than quote for it.

Every one of these is also in the guides, in full, for nothing. The guides are how to do it yourself; the prices are for when you would rather not.
Want it just sorted?
Send me the address and say which one you want doing. You will get a price in writing before anything happens, and it does not change afterwards.
If the honest answer is that it is a ten-minute job you could do yourself, I will tell you that and point you at the guide instead.
Or find out what else is going on
Those five read your homepage and your domain from the outside. They cannot see whether anyone is finding you, who is coming up above you, or where enquiries are being lost. A full audit is everything else:
- Every page on your site, listed — its title, its headings, and what is missing from it.
- Every search you show up for — where you rank, which ones are worth having, and the ones you should be showing up for and are not.
- Your Google Business Profile, item by item — reviews, photos, services, description, areas, hours, category.
- Whether Bing and the AI assistants have ever named you, and for what.
- Who is coming up above you, what they have that you have not, and whether it is worth fighting for.
- Eight areas rated out of five, with the evidence behind each score.
Then the three things worth doing first, what each would cost, and a short list of what to ignore. £150, yours to keep, and commission £500 or more of the work and it comes off the bill.
No call, no retainer. And if the honest answer is that nothing needs doing, I will tell you that instead.
