They search by village, not county
People type “roofer Alton”, “builder near Odiham” or “electrician in Whitchurch”. A website that just says “we cover Hampshire” gives Google and AI tools very little to match to those searches.

Before you pay for more leads or advertising, find out whether the website you already own could be doing more.
I'm based in Hampshire and I help builders, roofers, plumbers, electricians, landscapers and other local trades get more from the website they already have.
A lot of Hampshire trades get most of their work through word of mouth. That's great until it goes quiet.
A website that's clear about what you do and where you do it can keep enquiries coming in between recommendations, without paying for every lead.
No login · No website access · No card · No call needed
The check is free. If I find something worth fixing, I'll include what it would cost with your results.
A few things that matter more here than most people realise.
Real searches look like these. Your website needs to give Google and AI tools something to match them to.

Most trades don't cover all of it. Basingstoke to Petersfield is a long way. Your website should say where you actually work, so the right people find you and the wrong ones don't waste your time.
Period homes and conservation areas in Winchester and the older villages, new-build estates around Basingstoke and Andover. If that's the work you want, say so. People search for it specifically.
Ask ChatGPT for a good plumber near Winchester and it pulls from your website, your Google Business Profile and directories. If they disagree about what you do or where, you're easier to leave out.
Don't see your town? It doesn't matter. Everything's done online, so I can help wherever you are in Hampshire.

It relied on word of mouth and had no real online presence. I built all of it myself: the website, the service and area pages, a large library of helpful guides, the technical setup and the routes to an enquiry.
It now gets consistent enquiries without paying for advertising.
Pages for the towns and villages you actually work in, from Basingstoke and Winchester to Odiham and Stockbridge, so you show up when people search by place.
Whether your profiles match your website, and whether your service area and categories are set up properly for local searches.
Whether ChatGPT, Copilot and Google’s AI answers can read your website, and whether they get your services and areas right.
One clear page for each job you want more of, whether that’s extensions, roofing, rewires or garden design.
Indexing, page titles and descriptions, structured data, broken links and how the site works on a phone.
Whether it’s obvious how to get in touch, and whether your contact form actually reaches you.
Most of what holds a website back can be fixed on the one you have. I'll tell you the 2–3 things that matter most. If they're worth fixing, I'll say what it would cost. You decide.
Website Clarity is just me, so I only take on a couple of implementation projects at a time.
If you're not sure whether your website is actually helping bring in work, I'll take a look.
This isn't an instant automated score. I'll run the checks, review what comes back and send you the 2–3 things I'd tackle first. Usually within 2–3 working days.
No. Everything I do for trades is done remotely, so there's nothing to arrange and no one needs to be on site.
You send me your website, I check it and email you what I find.
No. I'm based in Hampshire, so this is where I started, but the work is remote and I help trades in other areas too.
If you're outside Hampshire, the main trades page explains everything.
Often, yes. A lot of Hampshire work is in the villages, and people search for them by name.
If your website only mentions the nearest big town, or just says “Hampshire”, it can miss those searches. It's one of the things I look at.
Yes. The check and the 2–3 findings are free.
If I find something worth fixing, I'll tell you what it would cost. Nothing starts unless you decide you want it.
