Nobody searches for “Berkshire”
Berkshire has no county council. It's six separate areas, and people think in towns: “plumber Wokingham”, “kitchen fitter Maidenhead”, “builder Newbury”. Your website needs to use the names your customers use.

Before you pay for more leads or advertising, find out whether the website you already own could be doing more.
I help builders, plumbers, electricians, kitchen fitters, roofers and other trades across Berkshire get found by the people already searching for them. The work is done remotely, so there's nothing to arrange.
If your website isn't bringing in work, it's rarely the design. It's usually what Google and AI tools can't work out from it.
I'll check what's happening underneath and tell you the 2–3 things I'd fix first.

Berkshire works a little differently from most counties.
Real searches look like these. Your website needs to give Google and AI tools something to match them to.

The east is busy M4 towns: Reading, Bracknell, Slough, Maidenhead. The west is rural West Berkshire around Newbury, Hungerford and Lambourn. Say which you cover, or you'll get enquiries from the wrong end.
Plenty of Berkshire trades also work in Oxfordshire, Surrey or Bucks. If your website only mentions Berkshire, the people just over the line may never find you.
Around Windsor, Ascot and Wokingham, people planning bigger projects read up, compare and ask AI tools before they call anyone. A website that answers their questions gets the enquiry.
Don't see your town? It doesn't matter. Everything's done online, so I can help wherever you are in Berkshire.

It relied on word of mouth and had no real online presence. I built all of it myself: the website, the service and area pages, a large library of helpful guides, the technical setup and the routes to an enquiry.
It now gets consistent enquiries without paying for advertising.
Whether the pages you care about are actually in Google and Bing, and if not, why not. It's more common than you'd think.
Clear pages or sections for the towns you want work in, from Reading and Wokingham to Newbury and Thatcham, including any across the border.
The hidden details that tell search engines and AI tools what you do, where you work and how to contact you.
Answers to the questions people search before they choose a trade, like costs, timings and what to expect. This is what gets you found earlier.
Whether you can see where enquiries come from, so you know what’s working and what isn’t.
Whether asking for a quote is quick on a phone, and whether the form actually reaches you.
Most of what holds a website back can be fixed on the one you have. I'll tell you the 2–3 things that matter most. If they're worth fixing, I'll say what it would cost. You decide.
Website Clarity is just me, so I only take on a couple of implementation projects at a time.
If you're not sure whether your website is actually helping bring in work, I'll take a look.
This isn't an instant automated score. I'll run the checks, review what comes back and send you the 2–3 things I'd tackle first. Usually within 2–3 working days.
Only for the towns you really want work in, and only if each page says something useful about that town. Ten pages with just the town name swapped can do more harm than good.
I'll tell you which ones are worth having.
Plainly, and by name. List the towns you actually work in, and give the main ones their own page or section.
Getting this right is one of the most common fixes I make.
There are a few common reasons: the website may never clearly say Reading, your Google Business Profile may say something different, or Google may not have picked up the right pages.
The free check will tell you which one it is.
They can work, but you pay for every enquiry, and the same lead often goes to several trades at once.
A website that gets found keeps working without a charge per enquiry. The free check tells you whether yours could be doing more before you spend more elsewhere.
