The free website check

What it is: an automated check of your website and how it appears in search, run from your web address. It’s free, there’s nothing to pay and nothing to cancel.

What it isn’t: it looks at a limited number of things and it can be wrong. It’s a starting point, not a verdict on your business. Nothing in it is a guarantee about rankings, traffic or enquiries.

The website audit — £150

What you’re buying: a written audit of how your business appears across Google, Google Maps, Bing and AI tools, and of the website itself — content, tracking, the experience on a phone and the enquiry journey. Findings come back prioritised as do first, do later or leave alone, with what I’d change, why, and in what order.

Payment: £150, agreed in writing before the work starts. If you go on to commission £500 or more of the recommended work, the £150 comes off that bill.

What it is and isn’t: the audit is evidence-based advice. It explains what the available data and website evidence show, and what’s most worth doing. It can’t guarantee rankings, AI citations, traffic or enquiries — nobody can, and anyone who promises otherwise is overselling. The audit is yours to keep whatever you decide to do next: do it yourself, hand it to someone else, or ask me for a fixed price.

What we’ll need: your web address and a short description of what isn’t working. If you have Google Analytics or Search Console, viewer access makes the audit more detailed — I never ask for passwords, and you can remove access at any time.

Improvement projects

Fixed scope, fixed price: every project is quoted in writing (by email) before any work begins. The quote says exactly what's included. That's the whole agreement — if it's not in the quote, it's not in the job, and anything extra gets its own quote first. The price agreed is the price charged.

How work happens: where a job changes your live website, you'll know what's changing before it's published. Access is always granted by you (as a user or collaborator on your own accounts) and can be removed by you at any time. Everything created — pages, content, accounts, settings — belongs to you.

Timeframes: agreed per project in the quote. Small jobs are typically done within days; you'll always know before committing.

If something isn't right

Say so — you'll get a straight answer and it'll be put right. If an audit or project hasn't been started when you change your mind, you'll get a full refund. If work is underway, we'll talk about what's fair. There's no small print that beats common sense here.

Because every audit is personalised to your business and work begins promptly after payment, the standard 14-day online cancellation period ends once your audit is underway — that's the legal position for personalised services you've asked to start straight away. If you have any issue at all, contact hello@websiteclarity.co.uk and it will be dealt with fairly.

Your details

The details you send through the forms are used for one thing: delivering your audit or project. They're never sold, shared or added to marketing lists. You'll only ever be emailed about the work you've asked for — no newsletters unless you choose to sign up for one, and you can ask for your details to be deleted at any time via the contact page. The full detail of how your information is handled is in the privacy policy.

The boring-but-honest bits

Website Clarity provides advice and implementation work in good faith and with care, but can't accept responsibility for how third-party platforms (Google, Bing, Microsoft, your website provider) behave, change their rules, or rank websites. Recommendations are based on evidence available at the time. These terms are written in plain English on purpose — if anything is unclear, just ask.
